Dr Horton is a great builder. I have owned 3 of their homes in the Fort Worth Texas area. The also carry a good resell value
Hey Mike, D.R Horton is fairly new to the Tampa area, they have been pretty popular for new home buyers.
We showed some of their Townhouses in FishHawk ranch the other day. The are nice units with garages and well priced. Plus FishHawk Ranch is one of the nicest communities in Florida.
@ Tampa Real Estate no doubt Fishhawk is one fabulous community with every amenity you can possibly have.
Wow, interesting to hear such a different take in other markets. Here in the Houston area D.R. Horton has a bad reputation. And many speak as though the only reason they stay in business here is that their base pricing is dirt cheap. I personally do not have any horror stories about them but others in my office have told me a few.
I think it depends on who runs the company in that area and what crews they use to build them. You can get some bad homes if they have some no good carptenters. This happens with any big company it all depends on the workers in the crew. They have good homes at very good prices so take a look around and see how you like thier homes in your area.
Well, D.R. Horton is quite a great builder. He builds single-family homes in 83 markets, in 27 states of the US.
